The SGC followed up by sponsoring a clean-up day on Oct. 4th along the Terrace between 4th and 5th Avenues where over twenty volunteers joined Council President Diane Anthony and helped remove brush, cans, and debris left over the years.

As a temporary effort the town plans to seed the area with perennial rye to keep the soil from eroding. The SGC is working with Ms. Holly Boyer, Sea Girt School STEM teacher and her middle school students will prepare milkweed balls which will be distributed on the site. It is hoped the milkweed will help stabilize the site and attract butterflies in the spring.

FWH has provided the SGC with a conceptual landscape plan for the Terrace from First to Fifth Ave. which is under review. A final plan will need to be approved by the Sea Girt Council.
